Taken during the inaugural Pike’s Peak Regional Airshow, this Thunderbolt is part of the collection of the National Museum of WWII Aviation. This P-47 was delivered in 1945, too late to see any combat. It served stateside before being transferred to the Peruvian Air Force in the 1950’s. It was acquired and restored by WestPac Restorations and flew again in 1995. Nikon D7000 w/80-400mm, processing with Aperture.
