Real Nice & Cubiq

Real Nice & Cubiq
Bristol-based Real Nice have been hard at work. In the space of the last two weeks, they have put out their "Thunder in Paradise" mix along with a great new song produced with Cubiq. I have been a fan of Real Nice ever since seeing them play a blinding set out of the top of a gold-painted WWII tank at Glastonbury last summer (a set which they memorably ended with Dario G's "Sunchyme"- cue bedlam). Renowned for wreaking havoc on dancefloors wherever they go, the Real Nice duo is characterised by an upbeat musical style which does not take itself too seriously and is genuinely fun to listen to. They have been dominating the Bristol scene over the last three years for precisely this reason and, if these new offerings are anything to go by, we should expect to see more of them in the future. The new mix and the tunes embody the Real Nice ethos, as recently explained to me by one of the team: "get the girls dancing and the men will follow".

The Peter Green vocal is an inspired choice in this one, great house tune.
Real Nice -Thunder In Paradise Mix
As the title implies, this is a collection of light-hearted blue-sky melodies and thundering bass. Look out for the inclusion of a couple of forgotten gems nestled in there.
