Reagan Outdoor Promoting Local Artists on Billboards

Reagan Outdoor and the Austin Visual Arts Association are teaming up to promote ten local artists on billboards for up to two years. The project is called Austin Art Boards, and artists are invited to submit their work at the official website. The deadline is June 24th, the winners will be posted by mid-July. Hopefully, we’ll hear from Reagan around that time to post a follow-up. Sculpture and 3D work can be submitted as photographs, but I hope some sculptor has the vision and means to create an actual 3D piece to attach to the board.

This sort of project has been done before numerous times, but it’s always nice to see ad space that isn’t always devoted to ads and an outdoor company giving back to their local community.
