Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu: Not Just For Business

By Thelostboylloyd @lloydthelostboy

I’ve always been curious about Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu. It’s one of those big hotels I would walk past by when I make my way from my aunt’s apartment to Ayala Center Cebu. My curiosity finally ended when I was fortunately given a chance to stay there, and after a couple of nights, nothing fell short of my expectations. Read more…

Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu is strategically located along Archbishop Reyes Avenue. For those who aren’t too familiar with the locale, it’s just across a side of Ayala Center Cebu and Cebu Business Park; thus, access to both is as easy as crossing the street. And for the hotel is located on a major thoroughfare, the rest of Metro Cebu, including its famous landmarks, can be reached with the many taxis and jeepneys that ply the area.

Quest Hotel belongs to the portfolio of Archipelago International, the largest hotel operator in Indonesia also with operations in Malaysia and the Philippines. Offering accommodation options ranging from luxury and upscale to affordable and select service, the company has upwards 200 properties spread across seven brands, including Aston, Hotel NEO, and favehotel.

Although a three-star like its sister hotels in Bali and various Indonesian cities, the Quest Hotel in Cebu felt more upscale than its classification. Right as I walked across its large lobby, welcomed courteously by its efficient front staff, I thought the place was rather grand, to say the least.

I was billeted in a Premiere Deluxe Room, a 25-square meter corner room offering two views of the city. Design is minimalist and clean, attractively dominated by white, black, and earth tones, while the furnishings are thankfully modern and chic—just like how I like them.

The centerpiece of the room is its comfortable king bed that was complemented by luxurious sheets and fluffy pillows. Likewise, the room was supplied with a slew of conveniences, including a desk, LED TV, mini bar, coffee and tea making facility, electronic safe, and closet space. The immaculate bathroom, on the other hand, was supplied with a set of towels and amenities.

The well-known Puso Bistro & Bar serves in-house guests and visitors a huge breakfast buffet that mostly includes Filipino classic fare. Their beef tapa, marinated in vinergar and garlic, is to die for.

While its impressive conference facilities benefit its corporate clientele, the hotel also boasts of a number of facilities for all its guests, including a fitness center and a swimming pool with bar.

In all, though targeted mostly for business, Quest Hotel and Conference Center Cebu, I found, has much to offer leisure travelers, too—from its prime location to its impressive rooms, hospitable staff, and extensive facilities. The hotel’s one of the best choices in Cebu, trust me.
