Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that the agenda behind Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri long march is nothing but to sabotage the upcoming general elections.
Nawaz Shaif said a Canadian citizen has come to Pakistan at a time when general elections were being held after10 weeks adding the a few thousand people could not make the entire nation refugee.
Speaking to media alongside Baloch nationalist leader Talal Bugti, Nawaz Sharif said they will not allow staging a political show when the nation is looking towards a change from one democratic setup to another. He said the long march would create bedlams in the country which has already surrounded by severe challenges.
Nawaz Sharif said if Qadri is heartfelt for a real change in the country, he should become the part of electoral process.
The PML-N chief also lashed out Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and PML-Q for backing the long march saying he is surprised that the allies of government are supporting the movement against their own government. He said the two parties should clarify that whether they are with government or Sheikh-ul-Islam.
On the other hand, Tahirul Qadri on Thursdayrenewed the vows to march on Islamabad on January 14 along with his 300,000 supporters.
He said that nobody was ready to question those who had returned to Pakistan after ten years.
