Pug Dog Cake

When your son asks you for a pug cake, you feel this little shiver of fear! A Pug cake? How do I even make a cake that looks like a dog?! Pug Dog Cake

Google is great when looking for cake ideas, well it definately helped me, even then I was seriously contemplating wether I should make a box standard 10 cake!

While making this cake step by step, I was soo easy, as it was like layering over layerings.

Ingredients
6oz Margarine
6oz Caster Sugar
7oz Self Raising Flour
1oz Cocoa
3 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
50g Butter
250g Icing Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tbsp Milk
4Tbsp Cocoa

 

Pug Dog Cake

Add the eggs, flour, cocoa, sugar, butter and vanilla to a mixing bowl.

Using the all in one method mix for 2 minutes

Spoon the batter into 2 greased cake tins

Bake at 170c for about 25-35 minutes and allow to cool

Add butter, vanilla, icing sugar, cocoa and milk to a mixing bowl

Vanilla Micro Egg Cup Cakes

Beat until soft peaks form, if a little running still add more icing sugar

Place 1 cake on a plate and level off the top if needed.

Add a generous layer of butter cream in the middle and sandwich together the second cake

Cover the entire cake with chocolate butter cream, this helps the sug icing stick

Colour and roll out light brown fondant and smoothe and cover the cake.

Colour a little icing dark brown and make the mouth and ears, stick on the fondant using water. Colour some fondant icing pink to make the tounge.

Finish Mr Pug by making the eyes, nose and finishiings.
