By Lwblog @londonwalks
Pub Quiz – Thanks To London Walkers AND Pubs! Thanks to all who joined us on the Baker Street – Great Portland Street Pub Quiz walk last night.
We called in at The Volunteer and The Globe at Baker Street and at The Masons Arms in Devonshire Street and The Yorkshire Grey in Fitzrovia – ending at The King & Queen in Foley Street.
And we answered 50 questions in the pub quiz – the winning score was 37 and the general consensus on the night was… TOO HARD!
Based on the five questions below, do you agree? Too hard? Too easy?
Literature: Mina Murray is the central character in which London-set fiction?
Shopping: What goods can I buy at Hamleys?
Attractions: I want to go to the RAF Museum at Hendon. Which is the closest tube station?
London Underground: Which is greater: the number of Northern Line stations that lie above ground or the number of Northern Line stations that lie south of the River Thames?
Anniversaries: Which London event of 60 years ago was commemorated on the South Bank this summer?
(Answers later this week.)
Easy? Too hard? Have a go next week on the Euston Square to King’s Cross leg of the Great Circle Line Pub Crawl & Pub Quiz Walks, 7pm Monday 12th September meet at Euston Square Station.
