PTI meetingThe Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has decided not to participate in the PML-N sit-in, scheduled to be staged next week outside Parliament House.

The decision was taken during the strategic committee meeting held here in Islamabad on Sunday. Chairman Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and several other prominent party leaders attended the meeting.

The PTI leaders decided that in present circumstances an alliance with PML-N is possible that’s why the party will not partake in the PML-N sit-in which’s demand is a stronger and more independent Election Commission of Pakistan.

Earlier, while speaking to media persons, PTI chairman had announced that his party will participate in any sit-in held for the consolidation of Election Commission.

Khan also said that PTI will also submit the name of a nominee for the caretaker prime minister adding if caretaker PM is made without consultations, then his party will launch countrywide protests.

Earlier today, Jamaat-e-Islami announced to partake in the PML-N sit-in.
