Product Review: Shiseido Perfect Whip Foaming Facial Cleanser

The Perfect cleansing series from Shiseido (drugstore line) has been widely popular since its launch and has garnered hundreds of reviews from different beauty bloggers all over Asia.

All the ravings of course got me very curious. And, being an insatiable beauty junkie that I am, I just had to get my hands on it and test/try it for myself.

Thankfully, I have a friend who travels to Japan every so often and was able to get me three products from the line: The Perfect Whip, Perfect Milk and Perfect Oil.

The first one I road-tested was the Perfect Whip.

Product Review: Shiseido Perfect Whip Foaming Facial Cleanser
Product Description:

This facial foam is a super lathering foam cleanser that can create 5 times the lather of any other cleanser. Its super fine and rich lather can remove even the most hidden dirt, sebum and blackheads from the pores, leaving the skin clean and healthy. Rich in amino acids, it does not dry out skin.

Its Claims:

The product claims to be effective in removing makeup as well as in drawing out trapped dirt, unclogging pores and even removing stubborn blackheads.

1. Wash your hands first.
2. Put a small amount of cleanser and a few drops of water onto the palm of your hand.
3. Lather the cleanser into a creamy foam.
4. Add more water if necessary to create a soft peak. (I didn't bother with this!)
5. Clean your face by spreading the foam on your face and gently massage it. Avoid eye and lip areas.

6. Rinse thoroughly with water.

WHAT I LOVE WITH THIS FOAM CLEANSER:

- It's affordable in price at more or less P200 per tube.

- It's very economical because you only need a small amount each use.

- It lathers quite nicely and it's texture feels nice.

- It thoroughly cleanses your face with daily grime.

- It's packaged in a soft tube that makes it super easy to squeeze out the product.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:

- It didn't live up to it's claim as an effective makeup remover. You still need to use a makeup remover to THOROUGHLY remove makeup.

- Can be a little drying. If you have dry skin, use a heavy moisturizer.

- Not locally available.

Overall, it's a decent facial cleanser that does an ok job in washing off normal, everyday grime. I would recommend this if you just want a daily cleanser but not for removing makeup.

Thanks for dropping by, please come back again for my review on the Perfect Milk, which is another cleanser from the SHISEIDO PERFECT line.
