You've got to give it to the man: Prez Paul Kagame never backs down. Nor would he ever say, "Oops, sorry!," when caught red-handed plundering natural resources in the DRC, sponsoring his M23 terrorist minions, or relocating thousands of his unwanted citizens in North-Kivu Province.

Just this past Thursday, October 3, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Linda Thomas-Greenfield announced that the Obama administration will be freezing in 2014 an undisclosed amount of funds slated for military assistance to Rwanda for the aggressive recruitment of child soldiers by its proxy outfit of M23 operating in eastern DRC.

Four other countries are hit by this freeze of funds: Burma, Central African Republic (CAR)--and strangely--Sudan and Syria!

Instead of acknowledging meddling into DRC internal affairs and vowing to stop supporting M23, Kagame doubled down on playing the ostrich for his support for the insurgents.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected (and appointed) MPs in Kigali on Friday, October 4, Kagame ranted at length against those who "accuse us of child soldiers whom we are not responsible for."

Kagame also railed against his two usual bogeymen: the FDLR and Gen. Faustin Kayumba Nyamwasa, who now lives in exile in South Africa.

"They don't care about our children," he snarled. They care instead about "those murderers who live in the DRC [FDLR], in South Africa [Kayumba]."

Adding:

"The Rwandan spirit has never failed us. Under very heavy rain, the Rwandan spirit never dissolved, it got wet but not cold; under the scorching temperatures, it did not melt."

Whatever that means...

Kagame went on to say:

"I am not complaining, we're not naive, we are not naive...the spirit of Rwanda should be able to deliver us to another day, another week, another month, and many more years."

Kagame displays most definitely the mindset of an unhinged person...
