Prep Yourself for Kult Country’s Debut Album with ‘trembling Moon’ [video]

Another budding gem from the very busy Manchester scene, Kult Country has set the tone for a promising debut record with their single, “Trembling Moon”. A swirling fuzz of guitars, reverb-heavy vocals and a hint of tambourine bring to life a track with a burning drive. It’s a dreamy whirl of warm sound that flirts with both indie rock and post-punk among its psychedelic fundamentals. Filled with as many effects as the single, the video for “Trembling Moon” is a visual representation of the sound being heard. Overlaid and tinted, the video recreates the live performance of the song in a blurry haze of instruments and people. Though Kult Country have actually been around for awhile, it seems ringleader Yousif Al Kharagouli has finally found the perfect balance with the current setup.
