Predicting 2016 Academy Awards Nominations

With the DGA having just announced their choice for 2016, I now feel ready to make my selections as to what the Academy will select for the 88th Academy Awards.

Below are my selections based off tireless research and mathematical science (okay not really, but it sounds better). The Academy can choose a variable number for their best picture selection so it could be fewer or more than 8. They went with 8 last year, so I’m continuing the trend. Just for fun if they go for a 9th, I’d wager ROOM or STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. Of course, expect some wild selections and we will see what happens.
