Postcards from Iguazu

By Kellyabroad @kelly_abroad

I really wasn’t prepared for the gigantic feeling of “Holy crap this place is amaze-balls.” But indeed, Iguazu Falls sure showed up for us. We loved it so much we spent TWO days here- one on the Argentinian side, and another on the Brazilian side, a short bus trip and two immigration stamps away. Iguazu isn’t one of those places you can talk about, it’s simply somewhere you must go, sit, stare.

Go on then.

But I’ve only got one day?

Do the Argentinian side. There’s more to see, trails to hike, different vantage points and a pretty gnarly boat ride to be had- if you make it by 3.30pm. Which we didn’t. Boo.

It is possible to do both sides, according to a fellow hosteler. But he said the amount of coordination involved wasn’t worth it.

If you’ve only got a couple of hours, go to Brazil. If you want a full day of awesomeness, go to Argentina.
