Posh Paleo Party:

How to Throw a High-Class “Cave Party” for Non-Paleo Friends

Ever wondered what is the easiest way to convince your friends to attend a caveman-style paleo party? Make the food look fabulous!

But you have to do it the right way.

Dish out your best crystal and use it as the backdrop that will feature all the goodness of Paleo. Add some perfect lightning, perhaps even some candles, and see your food spread be the envy of all parties.

Paleo foods are unique because they are made with zero junk.

Why present such delectable meals in just ANY container?

Here are some ideas to have a Paleo-poshy good time and show off our delicious food the way that it deserves.

Plan the spread ahead:

Set up a food spread of common favorites that never get old. Being a paleo practitioner does not mean that you stop eating fun and filling goods.  The food will be so good that they won’t even know that it’s Paleo.

Plan for party favorites such as:

Crunchy and Salty starters:

olive and peppers bar

raisins and almonds inline image for paleo snacks

smoked almond and pistachios

plantain chips and salsa

pork rinds

cod fish fritters

This is where you go Paleo-Posh classy and whip out your best crystal. My cave family loves Badash crystal serving dishes, for example. Now, picture the difference between putting a deliciously nutritious and rare snack such as plantain chips inside a plastic bowl. Now picture the same snack, lined up nicely in its crispy golden slices, on a pretty dish made as carefully as the snack itself.

Paleo chips are unique because they have zero preservatives and are made with love and care. The plantain chips look fabulous in the chip and dip Manhattan tray. Deserving food is worth a deserving dish. Nothing beats it.

Paleo foods also have a natural tendency to be more colorful and natural in texture, precisely because they are 100% pure foods. They are as true as they come! A see-through crystal container will bring out this natural beauty and even enhance the eating experience to a higher level.

Speaking of crystal, you can feature divided trays, classic square plates, dessert dishes, and beautiful bowls.

These are perfect for our next Paleo food group:

The proteins

Group this, more filling, food group aside so that your guests understand that this is the “big food.”

Here are some examples for you to consider:

ham and pineapple kebabs- Put them separately so that they can use the stick for other food items.

meatballs

chicken wings

ribs

sugar free jerky

prosciutto and other sugar free cured hams

In the corner of the spread, set aside a crystal bowls with deeper capacity. Inside of it, like we did with our crystal bowl, put either small forks, more kebab sticks, or corn on the cob holders. This will save you time from doing “dishes” or washing out forks, and will help the guests from getting their fingers too dirty when they eat. It may even save a couch or chair from being “accidentally” used as napkins.

Crystal wear looks even classier with the next group. Sit this, more refreshing, foods along side the proteins so that they can be used as side dishes or as vegetarian mains.

The refreshers

crudités (celery, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers)

pepper slices with coconut cream dip

carrots and dip

fried okra

arrowroot and coconut crumb fried green tomatoes—a HIT!

melon balls, chopped fruits, green plums

fruit kebabs

Then come the famous desserts. Aside from just fruits, Paleo has a wide variety of recipes that allow for you to use raw honey, natural fruit juices, and extracts to pack punch in your best desserts. Do not forget to offer mint leaves or mint ribs to add to drinks, or to chew on their own. It is perfect to clean your palate.

The Sweets

Fruit sherbret

Cut up peaches, mangos, mandarin orange slices

The deeper crystal bowls are awesome to put deep-dish desserts together. Colorful sweets are more visually appealing when seen spread out in all their fresh and delicious glory. The oranges and yellows look brighter than ever. Try it, and see for yourself.

Final step:

Set up their dinnerware bowls and plates as dessert plates. Your friends will want to try all the different items, even if they are die-hard junk food fanatics. Nothing beats a classy display of elegant and well-made foods at your paleo party. Paleo pairs up perfectly with fancy things. Show them how cavemen party, and enjoy healthy, high-class eating like never before.
