Port Pears and Blue Cheese #InaFriday

This appetizer requires no cooking.  I purchased and drank my first bottle of port for this post.

Actually I drank my first glass of Port last week. The hubster and I decided to take advantage of Restaurant week here in Norfolk Va. We decided to go to Todd Urich Bistro for lunch.

During restaurant week you can enjoy a meal for a fraction of the cost of a regular entrée. We decided on lunch because it was cheaper and we were both not working that day. The lunch special ended up costing us $10.00 per person. We decided because we saved so much we would splurge on dessert. We narrowed it down to either a Bread Pudding or a Pecan Pie. The Hubster won out and we got the Pecan Pie. They recommended a Port Wine to go with it. Funny that little glass of Port cost more than my entrée. Two dollars more to be exact.

The Pecan and Port dessert was very good in fact I made a Pecan tart just yesterday and enjoyed it with a glass of Port.  You will see it in another post soon.

This is a great appetizer or dessert because there is no cooking involved.  I hope you will try this and enjoy it as much as I did.
