Pomegranate Smoothie

The pomegranate is one strange looking fruit, but everything strange is good for you.  The pomegranate is a powerhouse of antioxidants, containing more antioxidants than red wine, green tea, blueberries and cranberries. The pomegranate is a nutrient dense food rich in phytochemical compounds.

This smoothie is a great antioxidant rich drink, containing pomegranate, green tea, celery, banana, apple and pear.

POMEGRANATE SMOOTHIE2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pomegranate
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 pear, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 cup cooled green tea

Directions

Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth.  Pour and enjoy.
