I had a dreamAnd in that dream politicians caredAnd that caring led to happinessAnd that caring rid us of hopelessnessAnd that caring gave us wholesomenessFor all my brothers and sister
I had a dreamAnd in that dream love conquered allAnd that love put an end to hungerAnd that love stopped the warmongersAnd the love silenced the guns of thunderBetween all my brothers and sisters
Then I woke from this dreamAnd I spoke of this dreamTold my MP about this dreamTo make reality this dream.
But I might as well have been drivingA car made or ice creamFor the good it did me.
