While I don’t celebrate Easter, it’s nearly impossible to avoid it.  Every store you visit you’re bombarded with plastic eggs and grass, copious amounts of wanna-be chocolate, peeps that now come in every shade of the rainbow and Easter baskets designed to only get you through the day.  Why not skip the store and try your hand at some of these creative upcycled, repurposed finds instead?

Plus...

{i realize this may not be easter related, but it begs the question as to which came first: the chicken or the egg? while your eggs may be colored, maybe you can get creative with the shells and do what Kyle Bean did as shown <image courtesy of recycle art>.}

Plus...

{i thought rebecca at simple as that did a great job with this cute DIY egg carton bunny.  on her website you can also find instructions on how to make a matching chick (what bunny doesn’t want a chick on it’s… er, ear?)}

Plus...

{here’s a creative way to reuse old milk cartons – turn them into an easter basket!  this bunny basket by family fun is super easy to make and requires just a few items.}

Plus...

{you can’t have an easter basket without the grass so why not make your own!  i’m in love with just about everything cathe holden of just something i made creates.  she is super talented and inspirational and truly has an eye for creativity (and vintage flair).  this easter egg grass is from repurposed dictionaries, so head on over to her site and check it out!}

{are you giving loose candy like jelly beans to your child? why not put them in these cute easter bunny candy containers made from repurposed creamer bottles.  these were submitted as part of craft’s “upcraft” feature by Sharon Pierce McCullough.}

Plus...

{still have a paper towel roll left over from last week’s trash-to-treasure craft project? great! all you need is one for this paper roll easter bunny by childmade tutorials.}

Plus...

{another great use for old egg cartons is to repurpose them into these egg cups. Jessica at zakka life has a tutorial and another post for making easter egg containers with egg cartons.}

Plus...

{last week i featured other toilet paper animals by Amanda and i just couldn’t leave these adorable bunnies out.  visit her site for the complete tutorial on how to make the cardboard tube bunny rabbit family and don’t forget to check out her other cardboard tube crafts for easter while you’re there.}

Plus...

{save the next empty cardboard cereal box you have and turn it into this basket compliments of michele made me.}

Plus...

{i’m starting to realize just how many crafts you can make with paper rolls – such as these bunny egg holders by ziggity zoom.}

Plus...

{maybe you don’t have a need for an easter basket and want a bowl such as these shown instead.  country living will show you how to make these papier-mâché bowls out of shredded brown paper bags and old dictionary pages.}
