The Golders Green Hippodrome was designed by the prolific Bertie Crewe – he also had a hand in the Royal Court, The Shaftesbury and Piccadilly theatres among others nationwide.
As a performance venue it has hosted everything from Queen to Stephane Grappelli, from Laurence Olivier to the D'Oyly Catre opera company. the BBC left the building in 2003 and it is now home to an evangelical churh.
