The Plansee is a lake located in the northern state of Tyrol, Austria. The 2.87 km long lake is nestled between mountains and is an adventure seekers paradise offering activities from a wide range of water sports to hiking and biking. I was taking a diving course to get my dry suit certification and it was my first time cold water diving. Even though I was wearing a dry suit, mountain lakes are still cold, ~ 12 C in this case – go figure. Plus we only saw a few fish. Next time I think I’ll stick to enjoying the Plansee and the dramatic scenery above the surface.
