Planning the perfect family holiday to Vegas

Fun is practically guaranteed in Las Vegas, the world’s entertainment capital, whether it is visiting one of the world-renowned shows and circus acts, hitting the rides for thrill-seekers, or playing the many casino games on offer. Adults can sample some of the range of casino games at partycasinobonus.co.uk before hitting the casinos in Las Vegas, but this destination offers far more than roulette, poker and slot machines.

In fact, Las Vegas is geared towards the family market as much as anywhere, with a host of family friendly attractions, hotels and entertainment on offer. In 2011 Las Vegas enjoyed healthy numbers of visitors, with similar predictions made for 2012. Part of the reason Las Vegas is such a winning destination is that it has some of the most spectacular shows, sights and attractions in the world, with some excellent benefits and great offers for families.

Families visiting Las Vegas can look forward to an array of amusements, arcades and theme parks, with some of the best attractions situated in hotels, such as real lions on display at MGM’s Lion Habitat, which is free to all guests and a perfectly safe, controlled environment. The Venetian Hotel on the famous Strip incorporates a magical world of gondola rides and canals, which are free to children under two. Stay at The Mirage and gain entry to the fantastic Secret Garden with its exotic wildlife and dolphin pool.

Perfect for older children (and their parents) are Las Vegas’ many theme parks, from the indoor pleasure palace Adventuredome at Circus Circus, a family friendly hotel with daily circus shows and miles of daredevil rides, rollercoasters and the exciting IMAX Fun House Express, to the 3D rides at Caesar’s Palace. Las Vegas is known for its theatrical extravaganzas, and Cirque du Soleil does not disappoint, with its breathtaking displays at Treasure Island and the Bellagio.

Younger children will adore the range of delights on offer at GameWorks arcade, and be like the proverbial kids in a sweetshop at M&M’s World. Hiring a car is easy and affordable in Vegas, and by going slightly further away from the main Strip there are some fantastic trips to take, including a helicopter tour of the area’s main attractions such as the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, or for the more sedate, a trip to Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Gardens, which is as close to being inside Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory as is humanly possible. This free attraction offers the twin charms of a botanical garden and chocolate factory, and handing out samples at the end of a guided tour is the icing on the cake.

Las Vegas is a crowd pleaser for a variety of reasons, and one of the world’s favorite holiday destinations, but it is not just for the grown-ups. Children under two not only fly for free, but also get free entry into many of Las Vegas’ excellent activities. Hotels are well geared up for all the family, with many offering all-inclusive packages, deals, and a superb array of child-friendly restaurants that should please even the fussiest of eaters, with prices to suit.
