The Pirates announced the signing of 1B/OF Jake Goebbert.
Goebbert hit .294 in 122 games with AAA El Paso (Padres) in 2015.
It should be noted that Goebbert hit well in a hitters friendly ballpark in AAA. In a brief call-up in 2015, he had an OPS of around .630-.650 .. Not exactly "power"
They also added Allen Webster who is probably the more intriguing of the two.
