Homemade potpourri and incense recipes can created with this cake scent at a maximum of 50%. Homemade cleaning products can be made with a maximum of 5% for this fragrance oil. The final product will have discoloration that turns the bars a milk chocolate color. The cured bars will have a good scent retained. Since the fragrance has a vanillin content of 6%, it is likely that much of the soap’s discoloration is due to this component. Adding vanilla white stabilizer may prevent some discoloration, but there are more than forty ingredients used in fragrance manufacturing that may contribute to discoloration of products.
