Anushka Sharma is fame for choosing different and challenging roles. This time she has taken up a Ghost as her host. The unique plot has everything in it love, emotion, humour and tears.

If you might have seen the trailer there is nothing much to explain about the plot. In the first few minutes one would guess where the plot is heading to. What holds the movie is the humour by Suraj Sharma and the strong performance by Anushka, Diljit and Mehreen.

Cast performance:

Anushka has given a strong performance. She has made the audience smile and cry with her acting. Her romance with Diljit Dosanjh was ok. She impresses as the ghost.

Diljit on the other hand has complimented Anushka well in the flashbacks. As a singer and as a man of romance he excels. Mehreen Pirzada as Anu impresses with her cute expressions and acting.

Suraj Sharma, the Life of Pi star has done a great job. His humour works up to an extent. Both Suraj and Mehreen looks perfect as a pair.

The story takes time to set in. The slow screenplay works in favour of the emotions up to some extend. Unless the cast's performance the movie falls flat at many instance. The screenplay is slow at times one might feel the scenes are too long than necessary.

Songs are good and moves along with the story, but the BGM should have been a little better. Anshai Lal should have trimmed the scenes if so he would have given a perfect entertainer.

On the whole Phillauri is a worthy family entertainer. The cast saves the slow and predictable screenplay up to some extent. Watch it without expectation, you will feel good.
