Hi, readers and beauty enthusiasts! Exciting news: I’m absolutely thrilled (and flattered) to be a finalist for PEOPLE Magazine’s 2012 Real Beauty at Every Age! (That’s me, above, bottom row on the right hand side!) Seriously, I’ve been donning a major perma-grin since I learned the news on Monday!
This marks the first time in the franchise’s history that real women — in addition to celebrities — will be featured in the magazine. So please help celebrate real beauty by casting your vote! Here’s the skinny:
What: PEOPLE Magazine is looking to celebrate “real beauty at every age” and has launched a campaign to showcase women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. One winner will be chosen to represent each age group. Then the 4 grand prize winners will be given a trip to New York City for a photo shoot.
What: Go to PEOPLE’s online voting page and vote for your favorite beauty in each age category! You can find me (Sasha S., 35, Rockwall, Texas) in the 30s group and I’d be absolutely tickled to get your vote! Voting takes place from April 2-8 and you can cast your vote daily!
When: The big winners will be revealed in PEOPLE’s “World’s Most Beautiful” 2012 issue, which will hit newsstands April 27!
