On Sunday I was at brunch with my sister and she mentioned that she already has 13 weddings on her calendar for 2017. I am not even kidding when I say I think my jaw dropped when she told me that. 13 weddings is so many weddings in one year. Not only is it expensive but that is SO many different dresses. Yes, she can get away with wearing the same dress 2-3 times but she still is going to have to buy numerous cocktail dresses in 2017 and that is going to add up quickly!
As someone who also attends quite a few events, adding dresses to my closet can not only be exhausting but also quite expensive. Thankfully, dressbarn is the perfect go-to destination for all those dress moments, including cocktail parties and wedding guest dresses. They have such an amazing selection, for all body types (in sizes 4-24!) and the best part is that dressbarn is so affordable.
I was asked by dressbarn to style a look that I thought would be perfect for the holiday season and even beyond! Honestly, they only asked me to style one dress but after playing around on the dressbarn website I found so many gorgeous options and could not decide on just one dress, so I thought it would be fun to style two!
Both dresses are gorgeous and I think work for occasions like New Years Eve as well as weddings that we have coming up in the spring. I know I have said this a million times but you really cannot have too many black cocktail dresses.
The sheer long-sleeve dress is so comfortable (it even has a built in bra) and I think would be so lovely to just about any cocktail event. I also really loved the sequin little black dress because I thought it would be fun to add a dressier dress to my closet. Both dresses from dressbarn are less than $60, are comfortable, work perfectly with or without tights.
Needless to say my little sister could not stop thanking me for advising her to head to dressbarn for all of her cocktail dress needs (for all the weddings). Dressbarn is such a great destination for everything from cocktail dresses to work attire and the best part it is such affordable fashion!
