Nell is twenty-six and has never been to Paris. She has never even been on a weekend away with her boyfriend. Everyone knows she is just not the adventurous type.

But, when her boyfriend doesn't turn up for their romantic mini-break, Nell has the chance to prove everyone wrong.

Alone in Paris, Nell meets the mysterious moped-riding Fabien and his group of carefree friends. Could this turn out to be the most adventurous weekend of her life?

Nell shifts her bag along the plastic seating in the station and checks the clock on the wall for the eighty-ninth time.

Paris for One is a fun, frothy read. I really enjoyed it. It made me laugh a few times and really want to visit Paris again. I adored Nell. She's very easy to like and sympathise with. I wanted to give her hug and feed her some chocolate or ice cream when Pete doesn't turn up. She's a bit scatty and a bit of a daydreamer like me so a bit of a kindred spirit. I can imagine being friends with her. I completely understand her reluctance to spend the weekend alone in Paris. I would have felt the same. As to be expected there's a bit of romance with hunky Fabien (I hate the name by the way, it makes me think of a gyrating beefcake with muscles he has pet names for). I found myself yelling you go girl. I enjoyed this part of the novella the most especially when she returns to the B&B to deal with Pete. I see love in the future for Nell and Fabien. Paris for One is a lot of fun.
