State Affairs Commission Vice Chairman and DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju (Pak Pong-chu) visited the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex “alive with the drive for increasing the production of iron and steel”. He learned about the “processes for putting the production on a Chuch’e” for the Youth Looping Shop, Gas Production Shop, Steel Shop and other places within the complex and had a consultative meeting. The meeting consisted of discussing “the issues of generating successes and experience gained by the complex in putting production processes on a Chuch’e basis” while “producing diverse steel bars for the sites recovering from flood damage in the northern part of the country.” They also took measures for “putting production on a normal track and increasing varieties of steel,” which means “sufficiently supplying electricity, coal and iron ore.” Prior to this on-site visit,  Pak visited the Institute of Pomiculture of the Academy of Agricultural Science and discussed remodeling the institute.
