Pacifica Power of Love Coconut Infused Mineral Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I can't resist a good eyeshadow palette, so this Pacifica palette was a must have.  I have tried a palette from Pacifica before and I was not crazy about it. But this one is just so darn gorgeous that I could not resist. And I am happy that I did not pass this one up.

The colors are beautiful, but nothing unique or that exciting. However, they are really soft and you can tell that they are made out of good stuff, such as coconut water.  Some of the shadows are a bit on the sheer side, but it works and the pigment is still nice.  They are perfect for days when you want to keep it simple, but still want a touch of shimmer and color on your eyes.  This palette has 10 shades with satin and (somewhat?) metallic finishes. I say somewhat because they aren't really shimmers, but they don't have a strong metallic look. And there are only two mattes in this palette.
Top Row:
  • Metallic Golden Peach
  • Metallic Golden Tan
  • Satin Light Taupe
  • Satin Forest Green
  • Satin Maroon
Bottom Row:
  • Matte Midnight Blue
  • Metallic Taupe, but looks more bronze in person.
  • Shimmering Vanilla
  • Aqua with silver micro glitter
  • Satin Champagne

The stand out shades in this palette are definitely the more metallic looking shades. They apply like butter and the pigment is amazing.  The satin shades are also very nice in texture, and the pigment is decent.  The two matte shades are not fantastic, but they are pretty good.  The pigment is okay, and the formulation is a bit drier. But that is usually expected for matte shadows.  Overall, they blend very nicely and I haven't had any problems with creasing, fading, or fall out. The shades can also be built up if you desire a bit more pop. My favorite way to wear the palette so far is using the matte taupe in my crease, applying the golden tan shade on the lid, and using one of the two light shades on the brow bone.
The packaging is adorable, and very sleek, so it would fit well in your makeup bag.  It is pretty sturdy and has a magnetic closure. The design is eye-catching and colorful.  The inside and back has circles of varying colors with hearts in the center, which gives a retro vibe to the packaging. The ink is soy and the packaging is recyclable. Another nice touch to the packing is the "You are so pretty" message along the top that you will notice upon opening it.Pacifica Power of Love Coconut Infused Mineral Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches
I am really pleased with this palette.  The quality is nice, the shadows wear well, and the colors are lovely and very wearable on a day to day basis. I also like how the included a few pops of color in addition to the neutrals.
This gem of a palette is $18.99 at Target. It is also cruelty free, vegan, and made in the USA. A winner all the way around. After using it, I look forward to trying out more Pacifica products.
