Over the weekend I went to a Hollywood themed birthday party and decided to dress up as Audrey Hepburn. I really loved sourcing all the bits and pieces for my costume and liked that I actually felt like a looked good in fancy dress for once instead of looking like a tramp or an idiot!
I look kind of grumpy in this photo! The dress is 2 sizes too big but it was a bargain & perfect for the costume!
I bought pretty much everything from Ebay and all in it came to under £20!The rest of the weekend I spent volunteering. If you follow me on twitter you’ll probably know that I’ve been volunteering at my local Scottish SPCA animal rehoming center for the past few weeks. I spent a good hour this weekend shovelling up dog poo into a giant bucket. Believe it or not, I absolutely love it!
If you’re an animal lover and you have a couple of hours to spare then I highly recommend it! If you don’t have the spare time but you would still like to help then the Scottish SPCA (or RSPCA in England) are always happy to receive donations of pet food, blankets, toys and newspapers. Of course you can also sign up to donate money to them every month or you can give an animal from one of their centres a loving, forever home!
I got both of my little kitties from a rescue center (it was a Cats Protection centre) and I am so glad I did!
