This was the outfit I wore on the actual day of my birthday and it includes a few goodies I got for my birthday. First being the sunglasses which I treated myself to (along with lots of forever21 shopping this weekend) as a birthday gift. I lovvveeee them I was nervous about how they would look on me but I am thinking they look just fine! They are comfortable and serious durable and thick.
Second are are the pearls around my neck, this was one of the most sentimental gifts I have ever received. My mimi (moms mom) passed away about 4 years and was one of the classiest women I have even come across, teaching me to always always look presentable, keep your hair out of your face and never have chipped nails (not very good at that one sorry...). When she passed my mom and I acquired a ton of amazing jewelry pieces. She got one of the longer strands of pearls separated so we each have a strand, a little piece of her classiness with us both. It is timeless gift and something that as my friends told me I can one day give to my daughter (oh wow that's way to far away). But they are amazing and I cannot wait to wear them more, specifically in more contemporary ways because I do not see a sweater set pearl combo in my near future. Funny enough the other necklace I stole from my mom this summer...ops love ya!
