What’s a “Moc?”
An abbreviation of “mocking bird.” The fine fellow you see manning the train above is named “Scrappy.”
Did You Know?
- Scrappy the Moc’s train is in reference to both the city’s history as a main railroad hub and to the song “Chattanooga Choo Choo”
- UTC’s Finley Stadium was the site of the FCS National Championship Game from 1997-2009
- Current NFL free agent Terrell Owens is a UTC alum
UTC Players to Watch:
QB B.J. Coleman (2nd Team All-Conference)

LB Ryan Consiglio (2nd Team All-Conference)
