Onion Raita - Pyaaz Ka Raita

Onion raita is a delicious yogurt based side dish and an excellent accompaniment for various rice dishes like biryani or tamarind rice or tomato pulao. With all the basic ingredients at home you can make it in no time. 
Onion Raita - Pyaaz ka raita 
Serves : 1 person
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Ingredients :
Yogurt (curd or dahi) : 3/4 cup- 1 cup
Onion (roughly chopped) : 1 medium
Red chili powder : 1/4 tsp
Roasted cumin powder : 1/4 tsp
Dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) : a pinch 
Cumin seeds : for garnish
Salt : to taste
Method :
In a mixing bowl, whisk the curd. Add red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, salt, crushed fenugreek leaves, and chopped onions. Mix all of them together. 
Sprinkle a pinch of red chili powder and cumin seeds for garnish. 
Serve with biryani or tomato pulao.
Handy Notes :

# You can add tomatoes also to give it a more colorful and rich taste.
