One Thing Humans Can Never Accept: Good People Are Often Wrong and Bad People Are Often Right

Posted on the 19 September 2017 by Calvinthedog

Good people are wrong all the time. Being good does not equal being right. Further, good people lie a lot. I assume that most of those social scientists up there lying about homosexuality are doing it for a good reason. Many good people believe that it is not only morally acceptable but morally mandatory to lie for a good cause. I happen to highly disagree with that. When you politicize quotidian life to that extent, you end up with societies where everyone is lying about everything all the time. Sort of like modern day America. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I do not wish to live in a society that runs on lies.

Bad people, even horrible people, are often right and not just about whether it is day or night. Being a horrible person has nothing to do with whether you are right or not. Many a human monster has been right about all sorts of things.

I do not know why it is, but almost 100% of humans cannot seem to wrap their heads around this idea that good people can be wrong (this one is easier) but particularly that bad people can be right, even regularly right. That causes some sort of horrible cognitive dissonance that almost everyone simply cannot handle.
