On Waiting (and Not the Good Kind)

By Jessicavenoy @lovelyjesscuh
The word "waiting" is such a loaded word, isn't it? It can be a very good thing or a very bad thing. It's sometimes associated with patience and sometimes associated with complacency. Lately I've been thinking a lot about waiting...and not the good kind.
On Waiting (and not the good kind)
I'm guilty of spending a lot of my time waiting.
"When I finish school I'll make time for _______________.""I'll save my favorite outfit to wear for a special occasion.""When I make more money I'll be smarter with it.""Next year I'll go all out and be really into every holiday."
Do I need to go on or do you get the picture?
Why am I waiting to do all of these things? Why am I not doing them now? Every day is not promised to us and I need to stop wasting so much time waiting around for xyz to happen before I take action.
Right here, right now, I am committing to breaking the chains of busyness. Instead of waiting to do things because I am so consumed with what is going on right that second, I am going to seize more moments. Make the little things count. Do instead of just say.
Who's with me?
xo, Jess
