Oil Pastel Penguin

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro

Oil Pastel Penguin Penguins are a very popular subject matter for kids. Looking at some photos before drawing will give students a chance to see colors and detail they may not have noticed before. 1. Students start by drawing a large oval on a colored sheet of paper. They add the head, wings and feet. Circle eyes and a triangle beak complete the face. A horizon line is added to the background.
2. Students outline their drawings with a thin black marker and color in the shapes with oil pastel.
