Raymond S. Bodie, the owner of Bodie Electric, was carrying the firearm on top of a stack of papers when it slipped off, fell to the ground and discharged one round, said Fostoria police Captain Patrick Brooks.
The bullet went through Bodie's ankle and his injuries were not life-threatening, Brooks said. Although police responded to the business after receiving a report of the accident, Bodie was transported privately to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital before officers arrived at the scene.
Bodie has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, Brooks said.
How can that happen? First of all the gun defenders always tell us modern guns don't do that. Secondly, they tell us concealed carry guys are safer than your average gun owner.
What gives?
