Oh Baby

One indication that you're starting to get old is when your friends/people you know start having kids on purpose. (Just kidding...sort of) Well, just like everything now of days, pregnancy has somehow become stylish. Take Kristin Cavallari for example: she got pregnancy right to the tee.  With the help of people who actually do know what they're talking about in this matter, and a fair amount of research..here are a few trends to keep in mind if you're pregnant now (or get knocked up in the near future).
1. Maxi Dresses: The great thing about Maxi Dresses is they allow you to stay away from maternity clothes. Maxi dresses are comfortable and stretch out, meaning you normally only have to go up a size or two from what you would normally buy. {Young Fabulous & Broke Maxi, Blue Life Dress, or Kristin Cav's actual dress in picture #2  Tbags Los Angeles Hi Lo Dress}
2. Blazers: Since blazers are now being worn open at almost all times, they work perfectly with pregnant women (or for us girls that occasionally eat too much at dinner). {Maison Scotch basic fitted blazer,  Helmut Lang Blazer, Rory Beca Blazer, Rebecca Minkoff Becky Jacket, Alice + Olivia Blazer}
3. Rompers: Here are some trending on shopbop now-  Halston Heritage Belted Romper, Bop Basics Romper, and Rory Beca Robert Jumpsuit.
4. Minimal Makeup: As you can see with Kristin, people who are pregnant really do have a natural glow to them. You'll only have that glow for 9 months at a time so why cover it up with makeup? Also, your body is more susceptible to hormonal breakouts so it is a good idea to stay away from makeup whenever possible, drink a lot of water, and carry face wipes with you.
5. One piece bathing suits: Pregnant or not, these are back and bigger than ever. Here are a few stylish ones I found: Tory Burch one piece swimsuit, Mara Hoffman Rainbow braid back one piece,  L Space one piece, Kushcush Rachel one piece swimsuit, Eberjey one piece.
6. Continue to rock yoga pants and workout clothes.
7. Cardigans and wraps: Personally, I always carry those around to begin with. However, my friend who is pregnant told me that those have become her go-to. (See Kristin's middle picture in the collage)
8. Flats: I don't care what anyone says...unless you are Carrie Bradshaw..no girl actually enjoys wearing heels..let alone a pregnant one. Here are some new cute flats I have been eyeing: {Soludos Dali Espadrilles, Melissa Zigzag flats, Tory Burch Metallic Ballet Flats, Hunter Boot Flats, Splendid Newberry Suede Ballet Flats, Tory Burch Beacher Flats}
Please comment below any other tips, trends, beauty secrets etc. for those with child! Even though I'm not pregnant (knock on wood) I'm still a girl, which means I'm entitled to enjoy all things baby, weddings, and Ryan Gosling.
