A bit of a different introduction but one that is very fitting as this lip product has become a staple for me and also one that makes me think I'm tucking into chocolate orange (without all of the calories of course). I decided to treat myself to this famous little pot of Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm with the help of an Escentual discount code and a huge sense of achievement as I'd just found out I passed my degree way back in June, and now I'm finally getting around to reviewing it. I don't know about you but there always seem to be a few product reviews that get lost in the draft folder and are forgotten about for months on end.
The Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm was definitely more of a splurge for me as the small 15g pot of balm costs £9.50, but in the end I couldn't be happier to have it in my life. This little baby has done an amazing job of moisturising my lips overnight and leaving them super soft each morning which makes lipstick application an absolute dream. I'd describe the texture of this balm as being quite thick and almost a bit waxy to touch, but the application is really easy and the rich formula quickly absorbs into the lips which is lovely. Another plus point is that you only need to use a tiny amount of the balm each time which means this little pot will last you quite a long time. I've had it for almost 3 months now and still haven't made much of a dent in the product which is great!
Not only does this lip balm do a great job of hydrating my lips, but it also smells and tastes delicious which is always a big selling point for me. Although it is described as being a honey lip balm with soothing oils, shea butter and grapefruit essence, the scent that screams out at me is nothing other than Terry's Chocolate Orange. Yummm. The scent won't be to everyone's taste but I personally love it which makes me even more glad that I bought it in the first place.
