Nutella Truffles

Ever since I tasted nutella I have been a great fan.I always have a jar in my pantry and many a times I just relish them plain,mouthful.I never liked to apply on bread as I don't like any kind of sweet spreads including jam on my slice.So I always use nutella in simple cakes,toppings or eat as such.This time when I bought nutella I wanted to try something exotic yet simple.When I searched on net I found so many recipes and I liked this very much.I tried it out with few changes and we just gobbled these truffles in no time.Try this very simple and tasty one,perfect for parties and kids will be pleased a lot.

Star ingredients:Nutella and vanilla wafers
Time:20 minutes+refrigerating time

Ingredients:
10 cream filled vanilla wafers
5 digestive biscuits
3 tablespoons nutella
1/4 cup hazelnuts
1/4 cup almonds
Cocoa powder for dusting

Method:
1.Dry roast almonds and hazelnuts.Reserve 10 whole hazelnuts and coarsely powder the rest along with almonds
Nutella truffles2.Crush wafers and digestive biscuits into coarse crumbs.
3.Mix the biscuit-wafer crumbs with nutella and form a uniform mixture.
Nutella truffles4.Scoop lemon sized balls from the mixture,press one whole hazelnut in the center and make a truffle like balls.
5.Roll the balls on the nuts powder,cocoa powder and refrigerate until serving.

Notes:
1.Almonds and digestive biscuits were not in the original recipe,I just added digest biscuits to balance the sweetness and it worked very well.
2.A coating of tempered chocolate was mentioned in the recipe,but I skipped as I didn't have one.I think that will add more richness to this candy.
