Ainol has announced its release of new budget tablet 8-inch Quad Core tablet, Novo 8 Discovery which is set to be launched by May 25th. The Novo 8 Discovery features a Quad Core Processor, Anroid 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The Novo 8 tablet is equipped with an 8 inch capacitive IPS multitouch display(1024x768). The Novo 8 Discovery sports an AllWinner A31 chip (four ARM Cortex-A7 cores running at 1GHz) and an octa-core PowerVR SGX544MP2 graphics card.
The Novo Discovery will be a a close competent with the AcerIconia A1, with a 5000mAh battery compared to the Iconia A1 3250mAh battery. The Novo 8 Discovery comes with a more competitive price tag($190) to the Acer Iconia A1s -16Gb version for $199 and better performance, twice the DRAM9(2GB DDR3) and a ower SGX544MP2 GPU.
