No More Beauty Boxes

No More Beauty Boxes
No More Beauty Boxes
Following the June boxes, I have decided not to post reviews of monthly beauty boxes anymore.
I found that June's Glossybox did not have a single item that was worth writing about - in fact, all items (bar one) remain unopened in the box they arrived in. I found that some items were in really cheap packaging and others....well, I was a little baffled as to why they had been included in the box. The only exception to this was the Caudalie perfume. This was a lovely size and I really like the product. It has gone straight on my list for my trip to France.
I realize that the very nature of beauty boxes means that they will always be a little hit and miss on whether or not you like what's in it each month. I have no problem with this, but have decided that I'll only post about something from them if it really impresses me.
I have also been decidedly underwhelmed by June's Joliebox. I was looking forward to this box as it was their anniversary box and was filled with French products (Squeal!). However, it is now July 8th and I am still waiting to receive it. The JUNE box.
Perhaps I would have written a post about the products in this box, but we shall never know as it appears I am never going to receive it.
I understand that Joliebox sent an email round explaining that there had been some issues with delivery, but that it was all sorted now and that the boxes should arrive on Thursday or Friday.
I never received this email. The Thursday and Friday they meant have been and gone. If I had not been given this information by someone else, then I would have had no idea what had happened to the boxes, not that this appears to apply to me as I am still waiting.
So, to sum up - there will no more reviews of beauty boxes here. Occasionally I may discuss or review certain products I have received in boxes if I truly love them etc. However, as I am now considering cancelling my subscriptions, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you!
Grace
