Next season, the NHL will have not 1, not 2, not 5, but 6 outdoor games. It's going to be epic
Jan 1 Leafs @ Red Wings ( The Big House)
Jan 25 Ducks @ Kings ( Dodger Stadium)
Jan 26 Rangers @ Devils (Yankee Stadium)
Jan 29 Rangers @ Islanders (Yankee Stadium)
Mar 1 Penguins @ Blackhawks (Soldier Field)
Mar 2 Senators @ Canucks (B.C. Palace)
The ambitious plan would latch onto the media and fan attention in the New York area during Super Bowl week by having the New York Rangers play two outdoor games at Yankee Stadium -- against the New Jersey Devils on Jan. 26, and then against New York Islanders on Jan. 29.
I like it, just not the Rangers having 2 games. Make the Islanders home for one, and the Devils for another, but make one of the away teams Buffalo, or any other team really.
I hope if they continue to do this, they get all 30 teams involved. It would seem more fair. I know, I know, nobody cares about Florida, but I feel that in things like this, the league has to make sure they don't show favoritism.
