New Year...New Kitchen...New Paisley Pants

By Baltimoreblonde @laurmiller11
Sincerest apologies for the major delay in posting...November and December are both such crazy months with the holiday season...plus my hubby and I had our kitchen re-done thanks to my amazing interior decorator and dearest friend Elizabeth Lawson and Welsh Remodeling!! It was a complete transformation and we are incredibly happy with the outcome! We live in a rowhome so utilizing space efficiently and creating a sense of openness were essential to us. And with our new kitchen being completed just in time for Thanksgiving, we hosted at our home for the first time!

 The gray paint gave our oak cabinets a total facelift...plus new hardware for our cabinets and drawers from Restoration Hardware made a huge difference! The backsplash is an elongated white subway tile.

My husband is really the chef in our household but I can pretend! Paisley Pants: J. Crew; Mustard Yellow Cardigan: J. Crew; Green Tie Neck Blouse: Banana Republic;
Black Ballet Flats: Steve Madden

We removed a set of cabinets and replaced them with reclaimed wood shelves from West Elm...it definitely helped open up our kitchen! Reaching for a glass to pour my fave...pinot grigio!

On a separate note from the new kitchen...I love that paisley is back in fashion...it always gives such a retro vibe! And if you want to try incorporating some paisley into your wardrobe but aren't quite ready to go all out with a pair of pants like the ones I'm wearing...try a scarf like this vibrantly colored one by Tasha (from Nordstrom).
