It can be difficult to decide how you want your kitchen to look. Color can be inviting but overwhelming if it’s too much. Neutral white, black, or gray can make a kitchen look too clinical and cold. However, having a colored kitchen island with neutral cabinets and walls can be the perfect compromise.

Having a bold blue, dark green, or amber kitchen island is a welcoming sight as the island itself centers the whole room. It’s also where the eye naturally travels when entering the kitchen space, encouraging guests to pull up a chair and talk or eat at that space.
