Neogen Dermalogy Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I have gone through countless cleansers in the last few years and I can only think of three that I have repurchased: Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam, one from The Body Shop's tea tree line that they don't make anymore (*sobs*), and now Neogen's Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser. This is probably my holy grail cleanser. It is that great.

I first heard about Neogen a while back on YouTube and I was instantly intrigued because of the amazing ingredients they use in their products. The video I saw mentioned their cranberry foam cleanser and wine peel pads. I kind of forgot about them until I saw that Sephora carried a few of their products. I bought this cleanser first, then purchased their lemon bio peel gauze.

The first thing you will notice about this cleanser is the bits of tea leaves floating around the bottom. This cleanser has fermented green tea extract, but it also has real green tea leaves in the bottom to keep things fresh. This cleanser is great for all skin types and it is designed to brighten and hydrate the skin. Don't let the hydrate part scare you if you have oily skin. It does wonders for mine.
Here is a little bit more about the product per Sephora's website:

"This foaming cleanser features a natural extract formula and real fermented green tea leaves that continuously deliver fresh benefits throughout the duration of use. The cleanser leaves skin moisturized, vitalized, and refreshed while effectively exfoliating and cleansing skin of impurities. Skin-calming ingredients like aloe help reduce irritation and redness for a calm complexion."

My skin definitely does seem less irritated and a lot more calm. I am not breaking out as much and my skin seems much more balanced. I went two days without using it late last week and my skin is still not happy with me. Foam cleansers are my favorite type of cleanser because they do a better job at getting the dirt and debris out of my pores. They can be drying if you don't have oily skin, though. This one doesn't have that issue, thanks to the aloe vera in it. The foam itself is very soft and lightweight. You don't need a lot of it, either. Half a pump should be plenty for most people, and it might even be too much for some. I use it mostly at night after removing my makeup, so it should last awhile. But just in case, I already have a back up of it. As an added bonus, the cleanser also lightly exfoliates. Because of that, it even helps smooth out uneven texture. I have noticed an improvement, but if you have serious problems with texture, this will not be enough. The scent is amazing. It doesn't have a strong, chemical scent. It is very light and fresh, much like what you would expect from anything with green tea in it.

This cleanser is cruelty free and it doesn't have parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. This cleanser is $19 for 5.6 oz. I bought mine from Sephora, but you can also purchase it from Soko Glam. They also have two other foaming cleansers (cranberry and cereal) depending on your skin's needs.
If you have combination/oily skin with minor texture issues and redness, I cannot recommend this cleanser enough.
