Mahishasur is a demon that was found in Indian Epic Markandya Purana at the chapter 81 to 93. Markandeya Purana talks the slaying of demon Mahishasura by Durga. Every year the days celebrated as Navratri in India. It symbolized the victory of good over evil. In 2015, Navratri begins on october 13 and ends on October 21^st
