Concealer, a way to covers those dark spots and dark eye circles when your skincare don't work. For me, concealer is a need and not just a want anymore for ain't nobody got time for sleep.
In this post, we're going to test out the Nature Republic Botanical concealer in Shade 21 - Light Beige.
For this concealer, there's only 2 shades, Light Beige and Vanilla Natural. To be honest, they both looked the same to me in the product pictures, so I chose the lighter one since concealer are supposed to be one shade lighter then your skin and I use a natural beige foundation.
This concealer aims to have:
- Super coverage
- Sebum control - prevent oiliness
- Blue lagoon water - keep moisture in
This is a liquid concealer thus, spreading it on your blemishes takes lesser effort. However, it still have a slight creamy texture thus causing the concealer to feel rather thick. On top of that, it may look cakey or should I say 'airbrushed' if you were to look at it closely (With reference to the photo below). However, despite looking heavy, the concealer is surprisingly light weighted and moisturizing on the skin.
The thing I like about this concealer is I get to use a very small amount - a pea size or two - and you get a mid range to full coverage depending on the darkness of your dark circles and blemishes. For myself, I would tend to pat on 2 layers of this concealer under my eyes because I don't sleep the normal hours and that is seriously affecting my eyebags.
Another thing which I adore about this concealer would be how long lasting, smudge proof and waterproof it is. When water head the concealer water droplets will roll on the surface like it rolls on plastic.
Being a concealer, it naturally does not have much scent but a sweet whiff of some flower extracts. It actually reminds me of a sweet peach scent. After application, there's still a slight peach scent if you go in closely enough.
Conclusion
I would give the Nature Republic Botanical Concealer - Light Beige 3 and a half IreviewUread smiles for it lives up to it's name of having great coverage and is moisturizing. Besides that, it is also waterproof, long lasting and sweet scenting. However, it looks abit cakey and requires 2 - 3 layer for full coverage. Plus, it seems that there's only 2 shades available for this concealer.
