Hey Everyone!
So today I am doing a review of my favorite setting powder, and get this, it is only £1.99! You can pick this up from Boots. This comes in 3 shades Cool Translucent, Neutral Translucent & Warm Translucent which is great and means lots of people can wear this.
I was looking for a new translucent setting powder because as much as I loved my 17 Shine Control Pressed Powder I didn't want the added coverage to my foundation and it meant that on days where I was wearing something very light coverage(e.g tinted moisturiser) it was making it more medium/full coverage. I watched a video by IckleLivzi you can check her channel out here and she said she loved this as a setting powder so I decided that for £1.99 what could go wrong and went out to pick it up.
Now to be honest I didn't have very high hopes for this and just assumed it would go cakey and look horrible on the skin. I also thought it wouldn't help to make me look less oily and would just dissapear off my face, but believe it or not it doesn't.
I apply this over my foundation and concealer with a kabuki brush that is not very dense so that I only apply a little (I am very cautious of having too much powder on my face!) and I put some of this into the lid and swirl the brush in the powder and then apply to my face. When applying it like this it doesn't add coverage(which is great and proves it is translucent) and creates a gorgeous satin finish. You can also apply this with a denser brush and apply more to get a lovely matte finish. This lasts pretty much all day on my with only some shine coming through nearer the end of the day and it keeps the lovely satin finish. It sets my makeup really nicely and looks beautiful on the skin.
I would definitely recommend this, I don't know how it would be on darker skin as I have extremely fair skin and it works very well for me and doesn't make me look at all orange.
