In honor of the famous edition by the house of Guerlain, perfume Shalimar, a brand new ad by director Bruno Aveillana was presented.... The main role went to seductive Natalia Vodianova who played mogul empress Mumtaz Mahal from the 17th century, who lived in a lonesome palace surrounded by the Shalimar gardens. Her husband, mogul emperor Shah Jahan built the magnificent Taj Mahal in memory of his early deceased wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
The advertising film presents the beautiful landscapes of India and shows gorgeous Mumtaz in her bathroom and in bed, in a sensual and seductive way, taking us centuries back. Costumes for the new movie were created by Yiqing Yin. A shorter version of the movie lasts 30 seconds and is scheduled for TV appearances, while the longer version, that we bring you lasts six minutes. The Shalimar franchise, besides the timeless original perfume from 1925, contains numerous successors presented as versions of the original, as well as luxurious jubilant editions in irresistibly designed flacons.
